Résumé

Les mouvements orthodontiques peuvent faciliter la mise en place d'un implant intra-osseux. Une planification pré-orthodontie est primordiale car l'issue aussi bien d'un point de vue fonctionnel qu'esthétique en dépend. Les agénésies dentaires dans la région antérieure à la mandibule en sont un bon exemple. Les différentes spécialités dentaires contribueront au résultat final.

Abstract

Orthodontic movement of soft and hard tissues can facilitate the placement of a dental implant. A missing lower incisor is one of many situations where orthodontic management of the edentulous space prior to surgery can improve implant insertion. Multidisciplinary treatment must be carefully planned before tooth movement is begun in order to ensure the best possible aesthetic and functional outcomes.
